  1. Commitment to Carbon Reduction

Cavalier Taxis is committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all operations and achieving net zero by 2050, in line with UK Government policy and PPN 06/21. We recognise the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility in the taxi industry, and we are actively implementing measures to reduce our carbon footprint over time.

  1. Measures to Achieve Targets
  • Gradual replacement of diesel and petrol vehicles with hybrid and electric taxis. 
  • Route optimisation software to reduce mileage and fuel use. 
  • Eco-driving training for all drivers. 
  • Energy-efficient lighting and appliances in office and workshop. 
  • Monitoring of staff commuting and supply chain emissions for Scope 3 reductions. 
  • Annual reporting and review of emissions to ensure targets are met. 

 

  1. Responsibility and Governance
  • Senior Management oversees implementation and monitoring of this plan. 
  • All employees are trained in sustainability practices and encouraged to reduce environmental impact. 
  • Sub-contractors are expected to follow environmental best practices. 

 

  1. Reporting and Review
  • Emissions are measured annually using standard GHG protocols. 
  • Progress against targets is published on our website. 
  • Continuous improvement will be applied based on monitoring results and evolving best practices. 

 

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and approved by the Board of Directors.
